Reupholstering existing lounges and sofas is always a great option if you’re happy with the furniture you have. However, if you need a new piece or are looking for a specific design, Sydney Upholstery can create made-to-order lounge suites so that you can select the fabric, design, size and foam specifications suited to your needs. We can create the frame from hardwood or pine. We’re also able to custom-make wing chairs, chairs and ottomans. Our process for selecting the design of your piece is convenient and easy.


Select your Material

We carry a wide selection of commercial grade heavy duty fabrics sourced from reliable Australian companies. We advise on fabric suitability for the application and can point you in the direction of what you are looking for. If you prefer to browse fabrics online you can email us a selection of fabrics and we’ll mail cuttings out to you so you can decide on fabrics in the comfort of your own home. Below is a listing of some of our major wholesalers for fabric, leather, and foam.

If preferred, you can also search for your own materials from another supplier. In this case we will simply create your quote without the cost of material included.


Receive a Quote

We encourage domestic clients to send along photos of examples of the type of lounge, sofa, or chair they’d like us to create so that we can get a sense of their building and upholstery needs.

Beyond our typical upholstering, we also offer services to have your fabric scotch guarded, fire treated, or backed.

Once we know the nature of the piece you’d like us to create, the material you’ve selected, and any additional upholstery needs you require, we can put together a quote for your project within 24 hours.


Turnaround & Delivery

In most cases we can turn around a custom building and upholstery project as fast as the client needs it. We understand the need for fast turnaround to avoid interruptions to businesses, and we work hard to always honor our deadlines.

As for delivery, you can choose to take home your custom piece yourself or we can deliver them at your convenience. We’ll estimate the delivery fee prior to beginning the project and add the charge to your final invoice.
